Advice for mother’s ring! And where can I get a mother’s ring?

My husband is the only child. He wants to get his mom a mother’s ring. What birthstones would you use? He wants to do his mom’s in the middle and HIS and HIS dad’s on side!OR I said to do Mine and HIS on side of hers. Because I am close to her and I am like a daughter to her. Is there any traditions about jewelry or gemstones for mourning?

So this may sound lame but i lost a child mid-term almost 6 years to the day while his sister continued to grow and is now a healthy 5 Year old. I also have a 10 year old. I still sometimes especially this time of year have a hard time with this loss. So i was thinking of having a ring made up with both my living children’s birthstones and one for my son and maybe somehow this will help me to remember the loss but not be so sad. I do not know of any traditions but was wondering if there’s one about mourning, a certain stone or something. Or maybe a stone that is helpful to heal from this type of thing. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

My husband and I are looking for affordably priced mother’s jewelry that can be customized with names and/or birthstones that would allow additional children to be added to it for my mother-in-law. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are looking for something that would cost under $50.
