Blue topaz @ Walmart?
I was looking at jewelry at Walmart today to kill some time and noticed that they didn’t have a single blue topaz item. Blue topaz is my birthstone(December), so I asked if they were sold out. The clerk informed me that they had to remove all their blue topaz jewelry to the safe in September and are unable to sell it until some legal matters have been resolved. Anyone have any idea what’s going on there???
There is a government agency that has to monitor the trade of all irradiated gemstones to check the level of radioactivity, until now, they never regulated the trade of irradiated blue topaz. Recently this government organization called a halt to the import/export of all irradiated blue topaz (which makes up about 99% of all blue topaz) until they could test the levels of radiation. However, I did recently discover some major suppliers to the industry can now sell blue topaz (only vendors who work w/ jewelers i.e. where I work). Walmart should catch up w/ the rest of the industry soon and replenish it’s supply. It was very difficult for us to get any blue topaz at work for clients…Actually it was impossible. Hope this answers your question!

How should I care for my emerald engagement ring?
My now fiance just proposed with this beautiful emerald engagement ring

It has hearts in the setting on both sides below the emeralds and 2 surrounding diamonds, and the words Past Present Future are engraved on the inside with little diamonds set inbetween them. the ring is absolutely gorgeous, emeralds are my favorite stone and I am very sentimental so this was the perfect ring for me. I just have no clue how to take care of it. I heard that emeralds can chip, so how can I prevent this? Can I expect it to last a lifetime if I care for it properly? Any help on care and tips (professional or everyday use) would be greatly appreciated, I don’t have much jewelry because of a nickel allergy and I want to make this last.

What Silversmith stamps his turquoise jewelry the the capital T stamped on it?
I purchased a silver cuff bracelet with 12 turquoise stones on it and it weights 64.5 grams. Its beautiful. I would like to know who made it.
I purchased it at a live auction and the papers only say it is a Kingman Turquoise Bracelet. It is also stamped sterling. The bracelet is 1 1/2″ wide and 7″ tip to tip with 1″ gap to be adjusted. Can anyone help me?

Tommy Singer, a well-known Navajo artist, sometimes marks his silver pieces with a T and a crescent moon. On one of my bracelets, the T is distinct, but the crescent is barely visible, so possibly you’re looking at his mark.

alright me and her have been dating for over a year now and last christmas i got her some jewelry. and i need ideas of gifts to give her i cant get her a puppy cuz she already has plenty of them . i was thinking about getting her a promise ring that has our names on it and birthstones on it ill be 18 in december and she will be 17 in january and so i was wondering should i get her that or get her somthing else and wait till shes 18 and just get her an engagement ring.Any other gifts ideas whud be great

Does anyone have any information on Jewelry from Jerusalem?
I have tried to search extensively but have found very little information. I need information on what is called a Jerusalem Cross. On the front in the middle it has a blue/green type gem stone which I think is a Tourmaline as they come in all colours, but I can’t be sure. It is silver, and on the back it has the mark Jerusalem 900. If anyone knows a website or information? Thank you.

Gift Ideas for expectant mom’s birthday?
My best friend and I have gone through pregnancy together. Her due date is approaching in mid november but the doctor thinks she may go early because shes already dilated. Her 30th birthday is this week and I had planned on buying her something special- some birthstone jewelry that would have been November for the baby but now that she may go anytime- that idea is gone. Anyone have any ideas of what to give her that’s not a baby item- she already had her shower and I would really like to get her something for herself!
I’ve done this for a couple of my friends with great success. Get her a spa day!! When the baby is most demanding (and she feels tired and run down), she will appreciate a massage and being able to get her hair done. You could also throw in a “Spa Day Babysitting” coupon. Sounds like you could use one too
